10. Ankles - Masato Hijirikawa x Reader

You always wondered something about your friend Masato, something different about him from everyone else. Why doesn’t he hug you like the rest? That was the question you always asked when you saw him. You were at their final concert of the night, usually at this time you would congratulate everyone for doing such a good job, with high fives and hugs, but not Masato. The most you got out of him was maybe a high five if your were lucky. But you really liked him, so you didn’t want to stop trying. You promised yourself that by the end of the night you will get a hug out of Masato.

“Hey great job guys” you chirped happily.

“Thanks _____” they said happily.

You and Haruka were very close friends, she introduced you to Starish roughly after the first year of them being a total hit. You really enjoyed their company, just being friends with them made you so happy, since you really didn’t have many friends growing up.

“_____, want to go back to the hotel, its getting late” Haruka said while she tried to stifle a yawn.

“yea, sure. I was getting a bit tired anyway” you chuckled slightly.

After everything settled down and the fan filed out, you were all finally able to go back to the hotel and get some much needed rest. You were walking down the street with everyone to the hotel down the block, eventually making it to the lobby and inside the room that you are sharing with Haruka.

“Haruka, I’m going to shower so don’t flush or something” you said with a giggle.

“No promises” Haruka said with giggle.

The shower was very refreshing, feeling the water hitting your body. About 20 minutes later you were finished. You got out of the shower and got dressed into your pj’s. It wasn’t too late, and you were starting to get a bit hungry. You told Haruka that you were going to get a snake from the vending machine at the end of the hall.

“Alright, I am going to go visit the guys to make sure they are prepared for tomorrow” he said as you both exited the door together.

You walked down the hall to the vending machine and Haruka disappeared into a room, you weren’t sure who she went to see first. You looked at the machine to see what you could buy. There was chips, chocolate bars, instant noodles, and little gummy candy. You decided on a bag of *favorite chips* and a bottle of *favorite drink* from the vending machine beside it.

You started to head back to your room when you realised you forgot your key in the room and Haruka had the second.

“Crap!” you said angrily, like on cue the power in the hotel went off. “Does this world hate me?!” you yelled slightly.

“_____, are you alright?” you saw Masato with his small keychain flashlight.

“No!, I hate the dark, especially in a creepy hotel” you whispered the last part because the fear of the dark hotel was starting to sink in.

“Did you forget your room key again?” he said bluntly.

“Yes...” you said sadly looking down at the ground.

“Come with me to my room for a bit then, until we can find Haruka, or when the power comes back one” he said while leading you to his room which was about four doors away from yours.

“So all of you guys got your own room?” you asked.

“Yes, even I can get tired of Ren every now and then” he said with a slight chuckle          
((right Masato tired of Ren...haha))

You both entered the room he was currently staying in. What you didn’t know was that Masato actually knew that you were afraid of the dark when you and Starish had a horror movie marathon in the middle of the night after a concert. You were clinging onto his arm the whole time, but he couldn’t comfort you, he couldn’t really embrace girls. The door made a creak when it closed behind you, that made you jump. You quickly clinged to Masato from behind. He froze in place when he noticed that you were clinging to him.

“_____, are you ok?” he finally managed to say.

You shook your head violently and clinged on a bit tighter. He eventually got you to let go, he looked into your eyes and said,

“_____, I....I have a slight problem w...with hugging girls...” he said while trailing off.

“I know Masato, I have known for a while now” you said softly, his presence making you feel a bit better.

You can faintly see him in the darkness inching closer.

“But i would face it for you” he gently said as he pulled you into a gentle, soft embrace.

A few seconds into the hug, you looked up at him, with a slight blush and smile. It was your turn to slowly inch forward to him,

“Masato, I ...I have always …. liked you” you said placing a feather like kiss on his lips.

Just as the kiss happened, the lights turned back on and you were able to see again.

“I like you as well _____” he said softly after and placed another gentle kiss on your lips.

Later on you finally found Haruka and made your way back to your room, wishing Masato good night with a worthwhile hug.

“_____, where were you while the power was out?” Haruka asked softly knowing that you were afraid of the dark.

“Oh, I was with Masato” you said as normally as you could.

“Well thats good,” she suddenly smirked and followed up with “did you guys do anything in the dark?”

“H...Haruka, no we did not!” you lied.

“Well alright, goodnight _____.” Haruka said while turning over in her bed.

“Night” you said softly, remembering what happened between you and Masato that night.
